How to Integrate your Podio Account with KrispCall?

Integrating Podio from KrispCall


Step 1: Log in to the KrisCall account and go to Settings


Step 2: Before proceeding with the integration process need to add a contact app for successful integration.

Step 3: Click on “Create your own app” 

Step 4: A form will pop up; Enter App Name and Item Name as “KrispCall Contact”, and select App Type as “Contact”

Step 5: KrispCall Contact App created. All contacts will sync here.

Step 6: Go back to KrispCall. In the settings section, Integrations can be seen under APP SETTINGS, and click on Integrations.

Step 7: After clicking on integrations, different automation tools and CRMs can be found, which you can integrate with KrispCall. To integrate Podio from KrispCall, search for Podio and click on the connect button below Podio.

Step 8: After clicking on the connect button, you will be redirected to Podio. Click on Grant Access.

Step 9: After clicking “Grant Access”, you will be redirected to KrispCall, where an authorization form will appear.


Step 10: First form is to select Organization. All organizations in the Podio account will appear in the drop-down. Choose the desired organization.

Step 11: Select Workspace from the drop-down.

Step 12: Select the Contact App you created in Podio.

Step 13: Click on the Connect Now button, and the Integration successful message will pop up, and Podio will be displayed under active integrations.

After successful integration Krispcall-App is created in Podio, where all the call and SMS logs are saved.


Manage member Integration settings by the admin/owner


  1. Ensure members have integrated Podio accounts.
  2. The admin/owner can view member integrations and make changes to members' account settings.
  3. Members cannot view admin/owner integrations.
  4. Member's settings changes don’t affect Admin/Owner’s settings.
  5. Admin/Owner setting changes don’t affect members' settings.


Integration Settings 


After the successful integration of Podio, you can enable or disable different settings. In the first step, you can either edit or delete the integration.


  1. To delete the active integration, click on the 3 dots and choose the delete option.

  1. To edit the integration, click on the three dots and choose the edit option. The edit option provides different settings options where you can make changes according to their requirements.

General Settings


General settings is the first setting option where three additional settings options are available. All the toggle buttons on the general settings will be on by default.


  • Create new contacts for calls: This button helps in one-way contact sync if the toggle is on, i.e., the contact created in KrispCall gets synced to Podio. If the toggle is off, then the contacts won’t be synced.
  • Contacts 2-way sync: This button helps in 2-way contact sync if the toggle is on, i.e., the contacts created in Podio get synced to KrispCall. If the toggle is off, then the contact won’t be synced. This button also helps in initial sync, i.e., if there are previous contacts either in KrispCall or Podio, then by toggling this button, the contacts get synced to both sides.
  • Notes logging: This option helps to sync notes to Podio, which are created/edited/deleted from the conversation box or during the call. Toggling off this button won’t sync notes to Podio.

Workflow Settings


The workflow setting is present right after the general settings. All the options under workflow settings are set to Calls (Engagements) at first. You can click on the settings and change them as per their requirements.


  1. Log outgoing answered calls as Call (Engagements)/Disabled: By enabling the setting as Call (Engagements), the outgoing answered calls will be synced to calls in Podio. By enabling the setting as Disabled, the outgoing answered calls will not be synced to Podio.
  2. Log outgoing unanswered calls as Call (Engagements)/Disabled: By enabling the setting as Call (Engagements), the outgoing unanswered calls will be synced to calls in Podio. By enabling the setting as Disabled, the outgoing unanswered calls will not be synced to Podio.
  3. Log incoming answered calls as Call (Engagements)/Disabled: By enabling the setting as Call (Engagements), the incoming answered calls will be synced to calls in Podio. By enabling the setting as Disabled, the incoming answered calls will not be synced to Podio.
  4. Log incoming unanswered calls as Call (Engagements)/Disabled: By enabling the setting as Call (Engagements), the incoming unanswered calls will be synced to calls in Podio. By enabling the setting as Disabled, the incoming unanswered calls will not be synced to Podio.
  5. Log voicemail as Call (Engagements)/Disabled: By enabling the settings as Call (Engagements), the voicemail log will be synced to the call in Podio. By enabling the setting as Disabled, the voicemail log will not be synced to Podio.
  6. Log outgoing SMS as SMS/Disabled: Enabling the setting as SMS will sync the outgoing SMS to the Notes of Podio. However, it will not sync if the setting is disabled.   
  7. Log outgoing SMS as SMS/Disabled: Enabling the setting as SMS will sync the outgoing SMS to the Notes of Podio. However, it will not sync if the setting is disabled.   

Connected Numbers


The connected numbers setting is present after the workflow settings. Two options are available under connected numbers settings. 


  1. Log phone calls for these phone numbers: In this option, the list of numbers available in the channel will be selected by default at the time of integration. 
  2. Log sms for these phone numbers: In this option, the list of numbers available in the channel will be selected by default at the time of integration. This setting is used to ensure the log of sms for the selected numbers is synced at Podio.


If you purchase a number after integration, then you need to add the number manually to the connected numbers.

Note: If there are no selected numbers, then the call logs/SMS will not be synced in Podio.
