How to Integrate Your BoldDesk Account with KrispCall?

Integrating BoldDesk with KrispCall brings all your calls, tickets, SMS, and customer details into one unified workspace. It cuts down manual work, reduces switching between apps, and keeps every interaction neatly organized.


This connection lets you sync contacts in real time, log calls and messages as tickets or activities, and save notes straight into BoldDesk. Your support team always has the full context while handling customers.

How to Integrate Your BoldDesk Account with KrispCall?


Step 1: Log in to the KrispCall account and go to Settings.


Step 2: In the settings section, Integrations can be seen under APP SETTINGS, click on Integrations.

Step 3: After clicking on integrations, different automation tools and CRMs can be found, which you can integrate with KrispCall. To integrate BoldDesk from KrispCall, search for BoldDesk and click on the connect button below BoldDesk.

Step 4: After clicking on the connect button, a pop-up window will appear asking for your permission to access certain information. Copy and paste your own unique BoldDesk URL, for example: “https://testkrispcallmail.bolddesk.com”

Step 5: Access API key -  from the profile icon on the right side of the screen > view profile and settings > API Keys > Create API Keys

Note: Do ensure API keys are copied once created. Users can create multiple API Keys, if they lose the previously created API Keys. Copy the API Key and paste it into the integration form.

Step 6:  Webhook configuration - Go to Settings and Webhook. (Manual Process)

Step 7: Enter the Name as ‘web api’.


Step 8: Select Contact as Module.


Step 9: Select Created and Updated as Event.


Step 10: Enter Destination URL - Copy the link of your KrispCall App and add “/api/v3/crm/bolddesk/callback” to it.

For example, the URL must look something like this: ‘https://app.krispcall.com/api/v3/crm/bolddesk/callback


Step 11: Select POST as the request type.


Step 12: Select Custom Header.


Step 13: Add x-api-key as Key.


Step 14: Add your API Key as a value (refer to Step 5 to retrieve your unique API key)

Step 15: In Payload, select JSON as content type, body content as Default, set name, contact ID, phone, contact group, and email as payload.

Step 16: Click on the Add button.


Step 17: After entering the necessary API key and your email address and clicking on the Connect Now button, integration is successful, and Bolddesk will be displayed under active integrations. (API Key used to authenticate must be the same as the one used to create a webhook on BoldDesk)

Manage member Integration settings by the admin/owner


  1. Ensure members have integrated Bolddesk accounts.
  2. The admin/owner can view member integrations and make changes to members' account settings.
  3. Members cannot view admin/owner integrations.
  4. Member's settings changes don’t affect Admin/Owner’s settings.
  5. Admin/Owner setting changes don’t affect members' settings.

Integration Settings 


After the successful integration of BoldDesk, users can enable or disable different settings. In the first step, users can either edit or delete the integration.


  1. To delete the active integration, click on the 3 dots and choose the delete option.

  1. To edit the integration, click on the three dots and choose the edit option. The edit option provides different settings options where users can make changes according to their requirements.

General Settings


General settings is the first setting option where three additional settings options are available. All the toggle buttons on general settings will be on by default.


  • Create new contacts for calls: This button helps in one-way contact sync if the toggle is on, i.e., the contact created in KrispCall gets synced to BoldDesk. If the toggle is off, then the contacts won’t be synced.
  • Contacts 2-way sync: This button helps in 2-way contact sync if the toggle is on, i.e., the contacts created in BoldDesk get synced to KrispCall. If the toggle is off, then the contact won’t be synced. This button also helps in initial sync, i.e., if there are previous contacts either in KrispCall or BoldDesk, then by toggling this button, the contacts get synced to both sides.
  • Notes logging: This option helps to sync notes to BoldDesk that are created/edited/deleted from the conversation box or during the call. Toggling off this button won’t sync notes to BoldDesk.

Workflow Settings


The workflow setting is present right after the general settings. All the options under workflow settings are set to Tickets at first. Users can click on the settings and change them as per their requirements.


  1. Log incoming answered calls as Tickets/Activities/Disabled: By enabling the setting as Tickets or Activities, the incoming answered calls will be synced to tickets or activities  on Bolddesk. By enabling the setting as Disabled, the incoming answered calls will not be synced to Bolddesk.
  2. Log incoming unanswered calls as Tickets/Activities/Disabled: By enabling the setting as Tickets or Activities, the incoming unanswered calls will be synced to Tickets or Activities on Bolddesk. By enabling the setting as Disabled, the incoming unanswered calls will not be synced to Bolddesk
  3. Log outgoing answered calls as Tickets/Activities/Disabled: By enabling the setting as Tickets or Activities, the outgoing answered calls will be synced to Tickets or Activities in Bolddesk; enabling the setting as Disabled, the outgoing answered calls will not be synced to Bolddesk.
  4. Log outgoing unanswered calls as Tickets/Activities/Disabled: By enabling the setting as Tickets or Activities, the outgoing unanswered calls will be synced to tickets or activities of Bolddesk. By enabling the setting as Disabled, the outgoing unanswered calls will not be synced to Bolddesk.
  5. Log Voicemail as Tickets/Activities/Disabled: By enabling the settings as Tickets or Activities, the voicemail log will be synced to tickets or activities on Bolddesk. By enabling the setting as Disabled, the voicemail log will not be synced to Bolddesk.
  6. Log incoming SMS as Tickets/Activities/Disabled: Enabling the setting as Tickets or Activities will sync the incoming SMS to tickets/activities of Bolddesk. However, it will not sync if the setting is disabled.     
  7. Log outgoing SMS as Tickets/Activities/Disabled: Enabling the setting as tickets or activities  will sync the outgoing SMS to tickets/activities of Bolddesk.  However, it will not sync if the setting is disabled.

Connected Numbers


The connected numbers setting is present after the workflow settings. Two options are available under connected numbers settings. 


  1. Log phone calls for these phone numbers: In this option, the list of numbers available in the channel will be selected by default at the time of integration. 
  2. Log sms for these phone numbers: In this option, the list of numbers available in the channel will be selected by default at the time of integration. This setting is used to ensure the log of SMS for the selected numbers is synced at Bolddesk.


If the user purchases the number after integration, then they need to add the number manually to connected numbers.

Note: If there are no selected numbers, then the call logs/SMS will not be synced in Bolddesk.
