How to Select your input/output device

When you connect a new microphone or speaker to KrispCall, you will be asked to choose which device to use for calls. This helps ensure you’re always using the right hardware for the best call quality.

You can easily set, change, and test your audio devices right inside KrispCall to make sure everything sounds perfect before you start your conversation.

Select Your Input/Output Device

  1. When a new audio device is detected, KrispCall will prompt you to select it.
  2. Choose Use it to make it your default device for all future calls.
  3. To reset this preference, you'll need to switch back to your system’s default audio settings. This will remove the selected device from KrispCall.

Configure and Test Your Audio Devices

You can test and configure your microphone and speaker from the app:

  1. Click the User Icon in the bottom right corner.
  2. Go to Settings → App Settings → Mic and Audio.
  3. Here, you can:

  • Test your microphone
  • Test your speakers
  • Switch your microphone and/or speaker devices.

Note: If KrispCall is set to follow your system settings, it will use whatever device is selected in your OS. If you manually choose a device in KrispCall, it will override the system setting as long as that device is connected.

Note: Adjust your volume directly from your system settings, as KrispCall doesn’t offer in-app volume control.
