How to Allow Microphone Access for KrispCall on macOS

If callers can’t hear you while using KrispCall on your macOS, it’s likely because KrispCall doesn’t have permission to use your microphone. This often happens after a new installation or macOS update.

Follow the steps below based on your macOS version to give KrispCall the permissions it needs.

For macOS Ventura:

  1. Open System Settings → Privacy & Security → Microphone.

  1. Toggle ON KrispCall.

  1. If prompted, select “Quit & Reopen”. If you choose “Later”, manually restart the KrispCall app to apply the changes.

For earlier macOS versions:

  1. Go to System Preferences → Privacy & Security → Privacy → Microphone.

  1. Click the lock icon in the lower-left corner and enter your password.

  1. Check the box next to KrispCall.

  1. If prompted, ensure that you “Quit & Reopen” the app or restart it manually to activate the new settings.
