A guide to phone error messages

While using KrispCall, you may encounter various error messages depending on the action you perform. Some of these can be easily resolved on your end, while others may require assistance from our support team.


To make you more familiar with the different errors and what they mean, we have listed some of the most common mistakes for your quick overview:

Geographic permission not enabled

You attempted to make an outbound phone call or SMS to a number that is not enabled on your account.

The user may have dialed or texted a destination that has not been enabled to support calling or texting.

Please contact our support team to verify your permissions and resolve the issue.

Invalid Phone Number

Call

The destination number the user tried to call is invalid.

The request failed because the downstream provider flagged the phone number as invalid, despite it being in the correct format. This may occur if the number is deactivated, suspended, unreachable, used fraudulently, or simply invalid.

First, check if the phone number is correct. Then, retry verifying the number by making a call using a non-VoIP number.

Account not allowed to call {Phone number}

Call

The carrier has blocked the destination number.

The carrier blacklists the number you're trying to call. This could be due to:High fraud risk at the destination. Regulatory restrictions are preventing the call.

If you need to or want to use this number legitimately, please contact our support team to confirm if it can be whitelisted.

Workspace channel not found

Call/SMS

You don't have any numbers in this workspace

The user doesn't have any channels assigned

At least one channel must be assigned to the User

Dialer invalid contact name

Call/SMS

Choose an existing contact or dial

Invalid contact name input in the widget dialer

Select a valid contact from the auto-suggestion in the widget dialer

Dialer invalid phone number

Call/SMS

Invalid phone number

Invalid phone number input in the widget dialer

Input a valid phone number in the dialer

Dialer emergency numbers

Call/SMS

For emergency calls, contact support

Emergency phone numbers are input into the widget dialer

Emergency phone numbers are not allowed

Dialer mic permission

Call/SMS

Permission is needed for the microphone

Microphone permission not granted in the browser. Incompatible Browser. Issue with the microphone device. Issue in the integrated Twilio SDK.

Grant the microphone permission in the browser. Try another browser. Check the microphone device used. Contact the technical support team.

INTL call sms disabled

Call/SMS

International Calls and Messages Disabled

The international calls and messages setting is disabled in the number settings. Unable to fetch the number settings config from the API

Check the number settings for international calls and sms toggle option. Contact the technical support team if the error persists, even if the setting is enabled

Self-assigned dialing number

Call/SMS

A number is assigned to one of your channels

Dialing number and assigned channel phone number are the same

Dialing number and assigned number should not be the same

Call not supported

Call/SMS

Call not supported

The dialing channel (Agent's Number) doesn't have call capabilities.

Need to use the channel with call abilities.

Self-assigned dialing number

Call/SMS

A number is assigned to one of your channels

Dialing channel (Agent's Number) doesn't have call abilities

Device offline

Call/SMS

The device is offline

Internet Connection issue. Unable to initialize Twilio SDK device, or Twilio device is inactive. Error from Twilio SDK. Unable to fetch Twilio voice token

Check the internet connection. Check Twilio sub-account status. Contact the technical support team

UDP traffic blocked

Call/SMS

Call not supported. Some third-party tools might be affecting your network connectivity.

VPN installed. Some installed VPN apps or Chrome extensions (like Pure VPN) block UDP traffic. Any other Chrome extension that blocks UDP traffic. It may also be necessary to check the user's Internet service provider (ISP).

Uninstall the VPN app or Chrome extensions that block UDP traffic, like Pure VPN. Contact the technical support team.

Workspace suspended

Call/SMS

Your KrispCall Account is currently suspended due to a lack of credits

Workspace credit is less than $0.2

The user needs to have more than $0.2 credit balance in the workspace

Power dialer credit low notification

Power Dialer

Your credit is low! Please recharge soon to avoid service interruptions.

The credit Amount is less than $1 during powerdialer calls

The Credit Amount should be greater than $1

Power dialer call disconnect low credit

Power Dialer

Call disconnected. Your credit is low!

Credit Amount is less than 0.5

Credit Amount should be greater than $0.5
