Setting up Yealink T21P with KrispCall

Yealink IP phones, such as the T21P, are widely used in business environments for their reliability and feature-rich interface. If you’d like to use your Yealink device with your KrispCall account, this guide will walk you through the full configuration process using SIP credentials.

Important: Some Yealink phones may be pre-registered to a provisioning server by the distributor (Yealink RPS). In such cases, your device may override custom settings and revert to its original configuration.

Setting Up SIP Deskphone in KrispCall

To configure KrispCall on your Yealink T21P IP phone, you’ll first need to complete the SIP Deskphone setup in your KrispCall dashboard. This setup generates the required SIP credentials like the username, password, and server information, which are necessary for the Yealink phone to connect to the KrispCall VoIP network. Without these credentials, the device won’t be able to register or make calls.

1. Go to Number Settings:

  • Log in to your KrispCall dashboard and head to the “Number Settings” section.

2. Enable SIP Deskphone (Beta):

  • Under the “Incoming Call Strategy” area, find the “SIP Deskphone (Beta)” option.
  • Select it by clicking the corresponding radio button.

3. Generate SIP Credentials:

  • Click on the “Generate SIP Settings” button. This will automatically generate a unique SIP username, password, and server address for your deskphone configuration.
  • You’ll receive the following information:

1. SIP Domain

2. SIP Username

3. SIP Password

Note: (These credentials are static and cannot be changed.) There is a button to copy each credential for easy pasting.

4. Set Unanswered Call Handling:

  • From the "If unanswered" dropdown menu, choose how you want calls handled if you don't answer:

1. Dismiss Call (Default): The call ends without going to voicemail.

2. Voicemail: The call is directed to your voicemail.

5. Save Changes:

  • Click “Save Changes” to apply your preferences and enable SIP deskphone functionality.

Using Your SIP Deskphone:

Once you’ve generated your SIP credentials, you’ll need either a physical SIP deskphone or a compatible softphone application. Configure the device or app using the SIP Domain, Username, and Password provided by KrispCall. After successful setup, all incoming calls to your virtual phone number will be routed directly to your configured SIP deskphone or softphone.
