How to Integrate Your Ashby Account with KrispCall

This guide covers how to connect both platforms and manage your integration settings after setup.

How to Integrate Your Ashby Account With KrispCall?


Step 1: Log in to your KrispCall account and go to Settings.


Step 2: Under the APP SETTINGS section, click on Integrations.





Step 3: On the Integrations page, search for Ashby among the available tools and CRMs. Click on it to go to the integration page.





Step 4: Click the Connect button. A pop-up window will appear asking for your API Key and Email.




Step 5: To retrieve your API Key, log in to Ashby and go to Admin Settings, then Integrations and API Keys.




Step 6: Click on Regenerate to create a new API Key.




Step 7: Enter the API Name, then click Create API Key.




Step 8: Select the required Permissions and click Save and Continue.




Step 9: Your API Key will now be displayed. Click Copy and Close to copy it.




Step 10: Return to the KrispCall pop-up window and enter your API Key and Email.




Step 11: Click Submit. A success message will confirm the integration is complete, and Ashby will appear under Active Integrations in KrispCall.




Manage Member Integration Settings by the Admin/Owner


  1. Make sure each member has their own Ashby account connected.
  2. The admin/owner can view any member's integration and adjust their account settings as needed.
  3. Members cannot view the admin/owner's integration settings.
  4. Members' changes to their settings will not affect the admin/owner's settings.
  5. Admin/owner's changes to their own settings will not affect any member's settings.






Integration Settings


After successfully integrating Ashby, users can enable or disable different settings. Users can also edit or delete the integration at any time.


To delete the active integration, click the three dots, then select Delete.





To edit the integration, click the three dots and choose Edit. The edit option offers various settings users can use to make changes to suit their requirements.





General Settings


General Settings are the first configuration option available after integration. All toggle buttons are turned on by default.


  1. Create new contacts for calls: This toggle enables one-way contact sync from KrispCall to Ashby. Any new contact created in KrispCall gets synced to Ashby when the toggle is on. Turning it off stops contacts from syncing.


  1. Contacts 2-way sync: This toggle enables two-way contact sync between both platforms. Contacts created in Ashby sync to KrispCall, and vice versa. Turning it on also triggers an initial sync, meaning any existing contacts in either platform will sync to both platforms. Turning it off stops the sync.


  1. Notes logging: This toggle syncs notes to Ashby when they are created, edited, or deleted in the conversation box or during a call. Turning it off stops notes from syncing to Ashby.




Workflow Settings


Workflow Settings appear right after General Settings. All options are set to Calls (Engagements) by default. Each setting can be changed individually based on your team's requirements.


  1. Log outgoing answered calls as Calls (Engagements)/Disabled: Setting this to Calls (Engagements) syncs outgoing answered calls to Ashby. Setting it to Disabled prevents them from syncing.
  2. Log outgoing unanswered calls as Calls (Engagements)/Disabled: Setting this to Calls (Engagements) syncs outgoing unanswered calls to Ashby. Setting it to Disabled prevents them from syncing.
  3. Log incoming answered calls as Calls (Engagements)/Disabled: Setting this to Calls (Engagements) syncs incoming answered calls to Ashby. Setting it to Disabled prevents them from syncing.
  4. Log incoming unanswered calls as Calls (Engagements)/Disabled: Setting this to Calls (Engagements) syncs incoming unanswered calls to Ashby. Setting it to Disabled prevents them from syncing.
  5. Log voicemail as Calls (Engagements)/Disabled: Setting this to Calls (Engagements) syncs voicemail logs to Ashby. Setting it to Disabled prevents them from syncing.
  6. Log incoming SMS as Notes/Disabled: Setting this to Notes syncs incoming SMS to Ashby. Setting it to Disabled prevents them from syncing.
  7. Log outgoing SMS as Notes/Disabled: Setting this to Notes syncs outgoing SMS to Ashby. Setting it to Disabled prevents them from syncing.




Connected Numbers


The Connected Numbers setting is located just below the Workflow Settings. Two options are available under this section.


  1. Log phone calls for these numbers: All numbers available in your KrispCall channel are selected by default during integration. Call logs for these numbers will automatically sync to Ashby.
  2. Log SMS for these phone numbers: All numbers in your KrispCall channel are selected by default during integration. This ensures SMS activity from the selected numbers is captured and synced to Ashby.


If you purchase a new number after the integration is set up, you will need to add it manually under Connected Numbers, as it will not be included automatically.


Note: If no numbers are selected under either option, call logs and SMS activity will not sync to Ashby.
